tips to boost raid dps

**this is post i made on our huntas forum on kor gal, i have tauren hunter there and we must furfill dps requirement if we wanna join naxx raid so here are some tips on how to maximise ur raid dps ( i have bout 350-400 dps in raid **



Huntas in 40 man raids have purpose of dealing damage, and we dont have large number of skills we can use in raid instances mostly its multishot, aimed shot, serpent sting.

so point is to maximise dmg without aggro.

from my expirience serpent sting is just waste of mana coz it is often kicked out from debuff line, and 500 dmg isnt worth all the mana.

multishot is huntas most mana efficient spell so it must always be used prio to any other.

aimed shot is also good boost to dps coz wastes only 1/3 of autoshot time(if timed perfectly) and with crit deal max hunters hit, just it cost lot of mana.

for timing aimed or feighn death abilities(must be done moments after arrow is fired or u waste autoshot time) i have found great addon what shows time bar of ur autofire.

its set of hunter addons just need that 1 feature from it all(least me)

with that u can time ur fd/aimed perfectly!!

1 more thing worth mentioning is that i use fd only after fired multishot, then drink water for cca 8 sec(3-4 tics) then resume shooting as soon as multi is on cd! //this is for boss fights coz ull have enough mana for 1 pull of mobs// same with bandagas.

my rotation usualy goes like this:

2 sunders
auto
multi
auto
aimed
auto
multi
fd(while multishot is still in the air)
drink water until multi cd
multi
auto
aimed .... and so on

that way I get maximal performance and best mana efficiency

ı recommend to start with aimed always after 2 sunders.
Considering the casting time, your aimed shot will hit the target after 2-3 seconds which will give tank to put 2 or 3 more sunders on the target.
So there wiil be 4-5 sunders on mob if you hit the aimed button when you see 2 sunders.

the combination might change but I cast serpent immidiate after aimed then
multi if no Sheeps around and arcane etc..

Furious Howl
Aimed
Multi
Aimed
Furious howl (while casting aimed)
....


And I've beaten all hunters in damage meters
